About QuickGigs

QuickGigs is a student-powered marketplace for everyday tasks. It connects people who need something done quickly with students nearby who have the time, the skills and the energy to do it.

What QuickGigs does

On QuickGigs you can post a gig in under a minute: describe the task, set a pay rate, pick a date, time and place, and publish it to the board. Students can browse every open gig, filter by category, budget, location and required skills, see how closely each gig matches their own skill set, and apply with a short note.

Gigs cover everyday work of every kind, from tutoring, writing and design tasks to errands, delivery, laundry, pet care, event crew and tech help. When a poster accepts an application, both sides talk directly in the built-in chat and arrange the details themselves. QuickGigs does not process payments between members, so posters and helpers agree on how they settle up.

Who QuickGigs is for

QuickGigs is built for students who want flexible work that fits around classes and exams, and for the households, small businesses and busy people in their community who need a hand with something today. Helpers join to earn extra income, build a track record of skills and reviews, and meet people outside their own course. Posters join to get everyday tasks off their plate without a long hiring process.

Who builds QuickGigs

QuickGigs is designed and developed by a small team of student developers as a school capstone project. The goal is a practical, community-minded marketplace where trust is visible: members can verify their identity before connecting with others, and gigs, reviews and reports are reviewed by the team.

QuickGigs is an independent learning project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any commercial job platform or university.
