Privacy Policy
Last updated September 2026
1. Information we collect
Account details you provide (name, email, password, location, bio); a photo of a valid ID and a resume for verification; profile and cover photos; skills and experience you add to your profile; gig listings and applications you create; messages you send other members; community posts, comments, and reactions; and payment method details you enter for verification purposes (card, GCash, or bank).
2. How ID verification works
When you upload an ID, our AI reviews the image to confirm it's a genuine identification document and that the name matches your profile. An admin can also review and approve or reverse a decision manually. We store the uploaded file to support this review, not for any other purpose.
3. Payment details
This is a school capstone project. No real payment is processed through QuickGigs. Payment verification exists only to simulate the trust-building step real gig platforms require. Card numbers are never stored in full; GCash numbers and bank details you enter are used solely to confirm you have a payment method on file.
4. What other members can see
Your name, profile photo, headline, skills, bio, and any feedback you've received are visible to other signed-in members. Your email is shown to people you've applied to, hired, or connected with, and on your public profile. Gigs you post are visible to anyone browsing Find Work.
5. Notifications and email
We send in-app notifications for things like application updates and messages. If a gig poster sends you interview details, we also email those details to the address on your account.
6. Local storage and preferences
We store a small amount of information in your browser, such as your light/dark theme preference and which account was last signed in, to make the app feel consistent between visits. This never leaves your device.
7. Data retention
We keep your information until you delete your account. Expired or declined applications and cancelled gigs remain on record so both sides retain a history of what happened, but token balances are refunded automatically.
8. Your choices
You can edit or remove most profile information at any time from your Profile page. You can also delete your account from Profile, which clears your profile details and removes your gigs, applications, messages, community posts, feedback, token wallet, and ID verification records. See "Your Privacy Choices" for more detail.
9. Security
We restrict access to your data based on who you are and what you're allowed to see. For example, ID documents are only visible to admins reviewing verification, not to other members. No system is perfectly secure, and as a student project QuickGigs should not be relied on to store highly sensitive information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as QuickGigs changes. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
