Terms of Service

1. Who this is for
QuickGigs is a school capstone project connecting working students with short-term and ongoing gig work, such as chores, repairs, tutoring, errands, and similar tasks, within a local community. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts and ID verification
To post a gig or apply to one, you need one valid ID and, where relevant, a resume on file. Our AI reviews uploaded IDs automatically; an admin can also manually approve an account. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and profile information accurate.
3. Posting and applying for gigs
Posters describe the job, pay, and schedule. Applicants (job seekers) connect using tokens and submit an application. A typical hiring flow moves from Pending to Interviewing to Accepted or Declined. We don't skip straight from Pending to Accepted, since we believe a quick interview step leads to more reliable matches. Declined applications are automatically refunded a token.
4. Tokens
Tokens are the in-app currency used to connect with a gig poster or community member. Tokens are refunded automatically if your application is declined or a gig is cancelled before you're hired. Tokens have no cash value and cannot be redeemed outside QuickGigs.
5. Payments
Payment method verification (card, GCash, or bank) confirms you have a way to pay or be paid. It exists to build trust between posters and applicants. As a capstone demo, no real payment is processed through QuickGigs; any actual payment for completed work is arranged directly between the poster and worker.
6. Messaging and community conduct
Messaging unlocks once you connect with someone. Be respectful in messages, the community feed, and comments. We may remove content or restrict accounts that harass others, post spam, or attempt to defraud another user.
7. Completing a gig and feedback
Either the poster or the hired worker can mark a gig as completed once the work is done. After completion, both sides can leave a star rating and written feedback, which appears on the recipient's public profile to help future posters and applicants make informed decisions.
8. Cancellations and refunds
A poster can cancel an open gig before hiring anyone; applicants with a pending or interviewing application at that point are automatically refunded their token. We don't guarantee a gig will remain available, so always check a listing's status before counting on it.
9. Account actions and termination
We may suspend or remove access for accounts that violate these terms, submit fraudulent ID documents, or repeatedly receive substantiated reports from other members.
10. No warranty
QuickGigs is provided as a school project "as is," without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the accuracy of any listing, the reliability of any member, or that the service will be available without interruption.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the project evolves. Continued use of QuickGigs after a change means you accept the updated terms.
